This case study is about a play therapy intervention in Multisystem Developmental Disorders (MSDD) diagnosed based on the Diagnostic Classification: 0-3. A 29-month-old boy was suffering serious problems with motor and sensory regulation and communications and had difficulties of interaction with others. However, he could establish a restricted relationship with his parents and showed a high level of improvement in interactions with his therapist in a short period of time. He could also establish relationship with his older sisters. Therefore, the diagnosis of MSDD rather than DSM-VI was regarded as more appropriate. This diagnosis was very instrumental for conducting more thorough and systematic investigation and assessment and establishing more effective intervention strategies.
